Celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day

Today is the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day. International Women’s day is a global celebration of women. The celebration of women is recognized differently all over the world and ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women for causes and achievements from the past, present and future.

Useful for researching not only the people but the areas and backgrounds they come from or the places they made their names. Each is marked by a pin in the map, color coded to show their field, from Science to Sport, Athletics to Arts.
